Racor P Series Fuel Filter / Water Separator Pump System
The patented Racor P Series Diesel Fuel Conditioning Module (DFCM) was developed to protect all new and existing diesel fuel injection systems. The innovative and modular design of the P Series incorporates all of the low pressure fuel components required by the latest generation of electronically-controlled fuel injection systems in a single package: A powerful brushed electric fuel pump, a high efficiency fuel filter/water separator, a contaminant collection bowl with a water sensor, and a thermostatically controlled PTC-type electric pre-heater. An electrical harness and control module for pump operation and water-in-fuel detection is included.
The fuel polishing version comes with a brushless 12/24V DC motor, electrical harness and control module, metal bowl, stainless water-in-fuel sensor, and no pre-heater.
How They Work:
P Series fuel conditioning modules feature a primary pleated fuel filter cartridge that blocks particle contamination and free water, which in turn is held by the media and collected in the collection bowl. Clean, dry fuel then enters the integral fuel pump, which then supplies flow and pressure to the rest of the fuel system. The module can be used in a continuous flow mode or as an intermittent priming pump. A pressure relief valve limits pressure to 10 psi (69 kPa), and an in-head PTC heater helps with cold starting.
The fuel polishing module version is used in a closed circulation system or as a fuel transfer system with a maximum output pressure of 26 psi (179 kPa). By circulating and filtering the fuel in a fuel tank, fuel is kept clean and dry before dispensing into a vehicle or stationary fuel tank.
Both P Series style modules contain high performance Aquabloc® II media in a cartridge design, which provides superior filtration while remaining environmentally friendly and incinerable. All Racor filter materials and seals are compatible with ultra-low sulfur diesel and biofuels up to B20 blend.
How to Choose:
Select the Racor P Series Diesel Fuel Condition Module for priming and continuous flow applications. When the pump is off, fuel is still filtered while bypassing the pump. In continuous flow applications, the module provides filtration, pressure and flow to the rest of the fuel system.
Select the Fuel Polishing Module for continuous fuel tank polishing applications. The pump in the Fuel Polishing Module is a 12/24V DC brushless electronic pump, capable of higher flows and pressures when compared to the standard P Series.

Racor Fuel Filter/Water Separator Pump Systems are available in a wide range of configurations, operating and maintenance choices. The product line includes systems with conventional brushed pumps and the new Racor brushless pump that was engineered using Parker Aerospace technology. The smart brushless pump systems control fuel delivery via a programmable chip. Fuel system conditions are analyzed and communicated to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) which responds to the information. For additional information, please contact Parker Racor Division.
